AI, Energy, and Climate Governance

AI, Energy, and Climate Governance explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping energy systems, infrastructure, and climate policy. The project examines the environmental impacts of AI, particularly the growth of data centres and electricity demand, alongside AI's potential contribution to sustainability transitions. Focusing on governance in Canada, it investigates how policy frameworks shape the development of AI infrastructure and identifies pathways for aligning AI innovation with climate goals and environmental justice.
