Join us for an engaging seminar with Troy Vettese, co-author of Half-Earth Socialism and environmental historian at UC Berkeley. Vettese’s work reimagines economic democracy as a response to ecological crises, drawing insights from historical cases like ancient Athenian democracy to explore how a democratically planned economy could shape a sustainable future.
This seminar will discuss themes from his latest paper, Every Cook Can Plan: Economic Democracy Against Catastrophe, co-authored with Drew Pendergrass. Together, they challenge traditional economic models and propose a transformative approach to sustainability and shared governance.
